| The rig I'm using: Intel C2Q Q6600 OCZ 8GB DDR2 Gigabyte G33M S2H Sapphire HD4850 250GB Seagate + 1TB Western Digital
My other rig: Intel Core i7 980X Corsair 12GB DDR3 Asus Rampage III Extreme 2x XFX HD5970 Black 2x 120GB Corsair + 4x 2TB Western Digital I don't use it anymore because my room gets hot as hell when I play LFS (or anything heavier than CityVille) and I don't use it for anything heavier either. I didn't bought this for my own money but won it in a competition, but I think that was a bad mistake by me.

I'm trying to get rid of the whole damn thing. You know anyone who has £3000 (or 30 000 NOK) he don't know what to use at?

| The monitor is an Eizo, not BenQ. It's a high quality monitor meant for Photoshop. (I'm not saying BenQ is bad. I have a BenQ myself and it's pretty good ^_^) And the processor is an i7 Extreme. A "regular" i7 costs about the same as over there. | |

| I, like 14k other people, replied on 3 oblivious questions on their web site. (Who's the grounder of Microsoft?) When the guy called me and said I've won I was oblivious that he was joking and kept working (facebook, youtube, lfsforum hellyeah) like nothing's happened. | |

| About a half week later. Apart from the PC and the three Eizo monitors there were a lot of equipment. Since I don't live far away from their HQ they came driving and delivered the stuff personally. It came in two cars. I already had that Z5500 system and G19 keyboard, so I have that as a spare. Probably going to get my speaker system over to my mom's place somehow to replace my JVC 10 watts system. | |

| This system was bought fairly early, latest thing in it is the ram CPU: Intel i7 920 @ 2.67GHz (Stepping D0, Overclock to 3.4GHz) Mobo: ASUS P6T Modified (Water-cooling) HDD: 3x Seagate Raptors, in striped raid. totaling just over 500GB Ext. HDD: Some cheapo caddy with a laptop HDD over eSATA. Its around 300GB. RAM: 9GB DDR3 @ 2100Mhz (Cheapest stuff i could find, high performance is a waste of money in my book) GFX: 1x Nvidia GeForce GTX460 1GB PSU: 1kW Modular OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit, with OSX running on the Ext. HDD. Screen 1: Some cheapo LG 1080i TV. Screen 2: Stole it off my sister, only 1280x1024, but great to be used as a reading pane. Controller: No idea, its not branded, but it works fine for me. also have XBOX360 stuff, but i dont use it on LFS. Audio: Logitech X230's. Room makes it impossible for surround, and for £40, these sound mint anyway. Kbd/Mouse: Microsoft stuff. Umm, thats about it. The specs are kinda high memory wise cause i do a lot of editing and so on in CS5 for work, as well as trying our new OS' and beta builds again, for work. Its all packed in to a £20 case, and doesn't have any fancy lights its kinda boring, but it does the job, an it does it well. Oh and its water cooled, but it would survive with stock cooling i suppose, it was cheaper to get the motherboard modded at the time than brand new. GO EBAY. Total cost: in and around £850 total. Most of the stuff i got was at trade price, mainly cause again, of work. I work too much. - Virii | |
